CHRIS SELECTED FOR CHALLENGE

My journey started January 1, 2012 along with some of you; we decided to take on new habits to better our health and our lives. So many people don’t make it the first two weeks of the year, yet alone a whole month. So I want to congratulate each of you for your dedication and hard work to get to this point. Keep up the good work.

Along with eating right Austin and I joined the new Gold’s Gym in Syracuse to support my efforts in a new me. That night I was going through their website and ran across this contest that they were having, called “Show Us Your Journey”. They were looking for six motivated individuals to participate in this contest, Three Males and Three Females throughout the United States. The contest would run for 12 weeks, you would receive one year paid membership, a personal trainer for 12 weeks, and some products from their sponsors Xbox and RX Med to assist in getting fit. I figured, what do I have to lose, I never win anything and the worst case scenario would be that I was in the same place as I was when I started. So I filled out the info they needed, sent some pictures (not my best moment) sent in a short essay about why I wanted to participate. Then I totally forgot about it.

On January 17^th I received a call from an odd number; any one who knows me well enough knows that I am not answering it, so I let it go to voicemail. Always figured if it was that important, the caller will leave a message. A couple hour had passed I realized to my surprise someone had actually left a message. Come to find out it was the company running the contest for Gold’s Gym and they were calling to let me know that I was one of ten entries that was being considered for a spot in the contest and that they would narrow it down to the final three males by the end of the week. Excited doesn’t begin to explain how I was feeling at the moment. I know, I know, I really am more than just grumpy.

The very next day that phone number popped up again and I didn’t once hesitate to answer it. They called to let me know that I was one of the three selected to participate in the “Show us your Journey” contest. You thought I was excited the day before, this once in a lifetime opportunity for me; my excitement skyrocketed to a whole different level, unexplored territory.

Beginning February 1^st, a new chapter of my journey begins… you can follow my Journey as I post my required blogs on Wednesday’s and Friday’s I will post links to Facebook as they become available. I wish everyone could have this opportunity, but it’s mine…mine, mine, mine.

Science Fair

It is that time of year again!! Dalton did his science fairproject on popcorn. We purchased 3 different kinds of popcorn, then he popped 3bags of each kind. Dalton then counted the popped kernels and the un-popped kernels.We took the averages of each different brands. Charted it all out and voila it was done! Wellalmost he did have to do a report on popcorn when we started eating it how itis called maze and how we now enjoy it all the time in our daily lives.

After it was all turned in I found out how easy it is tomake your own microwave popcorn. you can you all sorts of seasoning andflavors.. butter or oils depending on how health you want it. I wish i wouldhave seen this before we turned in his science fair board we could have addedthe information. Making our own is so much more cost effective!

Ingredients

1/4 cup good quality popcorn
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt or popcorn salt
Sprinkle jalapeno seasoning mix
Paper lunch bag
Tape

Directions

Toss the popcorn with the olive oil, salt, and jalapeno seasoning mix in the paper bag. Fold the top of the bag over and Tape the bag twice to close. Place the bag in the microwave and microwave on high for 2 minutes to 3 minutes, or until there are about 5 seconds between pops.

...another way..Toss with butter, salt and any other seasonings you enjoy.

NOTE: Popcorn salt is a super-fine salt that is designed especially for sticking to food such as popcorn. It has the taste of regular table salt, but its granules are much finer.

After searching the internet for ideasto send my Nephews for christmas I found several sites that have Missionarycare packages.. I love the idea of having a scriptures correlate with theirgift (All but one that is) So here is what my mom and I did for Camron andBraxton this year.

1. Decide on the gifts first.

2. Think of light-weight items to helpwith shipping costs.

3. Search for a correlating scripturewe used lds.org That part was fun! You get pretty creative.

4. Remove all cardboard and plasticwrap that you really don't need to help reduce weight.

5. Buy several small Christmas bagsfrom Walmart or Walgreens or all a dollar. I was able to buy 8 in a pack for $1there. They look like lunch sacks. They make excellent wrapping paper for smallgifts. After you fold them shut, cut off excess paper to reduce the weight ofthe gift.

I'm in the Army Now

Today Austin joined the Army delayed entry program The Army recruitsfor several months in advance. Depending on job and training availability, youmay have to wait for several months to ship out to basic training. Austin hasto wait until after he graduates high school He did swear in today and heleaves for basic training on July 09, 2012. Austin will go to basic training inFort Benning, GA. After basic training he will go to Fort Sill, OK to learn hisjob as a Cannon Crewmember. Yes it scares me but this is what Austin has wantedto do his whole life. When Austin was 3-4 years old has told me that he wantsto serve our country. As the years have progressed he now understands a littlemore of what it really means to be in the military and still his desire hasnever once wavered. I am pleased with his decision to help protect his freedom,our freedom and future generations.

My boys are already tired of me telling themthat this will be our last Thanksgiving while he still lives at home,Christmas, New Years, Sr Prom (his last dance in high school) you get mymeaning ... oh boy can I do this......

Jaden has been accepted by a non profit service organization to go to Thailand next July on a Humanitarian Mission!He is so excited and pumped! You may have read this on Facebook, but I thought i would share the link to their page with you so you can see what it is all about...He will be doing 80 hours of approved service here over the next few months to earn a sponsorship through the Rotary Club and then serving in Thailand for a couple weeks.He has to raise over $2500 in order to go...so don't be too shocked if he hits you up for a small donation....:-)It IS tax deductible though!Anyway, I would appreciate your prayers in his behalf as he tries to make this happen.

New Litter Has Arrived!

Our new litter is now 2 weeks old and growing strong!

We currently have 2 Females and 4 Male Cava-Tzu's that we are putting up FOR SALE!

You may ask yourself, What's a CAVA-TZU?

Well a Cava-Tzu is a highly sought after designer hybrid. It is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Shih Tzu. These dogs are very mild tempered, great with kids and very protective. They are the perfect lap dogs.

These love able puppies will be ready just in time for Christmas to go to their new home's.

It is so strange that it has been a 1 1/2 years since Zoe joined our family and zoe is still full of spunk she just makes me laugh!! I just love these dogs they are so much apart of our family

you hear it time andtime again Time just flies!! It is amazing that 11 years has come and gonesince I had my wonderful son, Dalton. Dalton is my cuddlier one of my jokestersOur third childentered the world 11 years go. I can't imagine our lives without his sweetsmile, his quick wit and his Big kind heart. that you have in abundance and that I hope never dimishes in you. You area great person and I wouldn’t change a thing about you. when you smile youlight up my world.

Daltonyou have grown to be a wonderful young man. He's atrusty-worthy friend, a loyal brother and a good son.

I am proud of the man youare becoming. I love that you have completed your journey in cub scouts and receivedyour arrow of light. What a great accomplishment that was. I look forward towatching you grow as you work towards your eagle scout

Donna made a cake for Dalton's birthday that looks like a Donut!! super cute!!

Dalton's gift was toobig and I could not find a big enough bag so I used a .97 cent table cloth andmade my own. He asked for new snow boats, gloves, hat overalls and a sled. Itworked out perfectly. it snowed the same night he received his gift. So Saturdaymorning he was outside playing in the snow.

It was a little disappointing.Dalton asked his whole class to come to his party and one 1 kid came. =(.Dalton's birthday is off track this year so we had to give out the invitationsearly. Dalton still had a great time but he was very disappointed. That isreally hard to watch as a mother.

I’m not ready

My oldest son, Austin, is entering his senior year in high school.

I’m not ready.

The moment you become a parent, you know these days are coming. The end of days. You don’t think of it then, and you really don’t think about it much between then and the moment it hits you square in the face.

I’m getting slapped around right now.

This is the beginning of the end. First Austin will graduate. The start of the school year wasn’t always a sad occasion. When the kids were in elementary school, the first day of school was a time of great anticipation. Elementary schoolchildren find out very early in the summer who their teacher is for the next year and who is going to be in their classroom. But they don’t fully grasp the dynamics of the classroom unit until they get in there and start rooting out their social status. Am I one of the smartest? Am I one of the funniest? Who is he? Who is she? And why does the teacher look at me that way?

It’s an adventure; a little bit nerve-racking, but filled with a beautiful sense of expectation.

While there are dynamics to the changes from sixth grade to seventh and seventh to eighth in Junior high school, and there are changes from freshman to sophomore to junior to senior in high school, they are not cute, adorable changes. They are, in fact, sometimes dramatic, painful changes. There are, social pressures, academic pressures. Your children suddenly care a great deal about their appearance, and nothing is more painful than that for a parent trying to make their children understand that logos really don’t matter.

This is the last first day of school in which he will know most of the kids in his classes.

That’s scary.

I can pay extra-close attention to him, make sure I know him as well as I can. I can suck up every minute I can with him, who isn’t really a boy anymore.

Likewise, Austin can make sure he appreciates every minute of this year. There are big changes on the horizon, but I hope those changes don’t detract from his appreciation of the here and now.

And yes, I will take notes, because I’m going to have to go through the last first day of school again a couple more times before I’m done.

Grandma's retreat 2011

For the second year now my amazing mother asked her grandkids to come to a sleep over (the older Austin, Jaden and McKeena were busy) this year Amber was able to get a condo in Eden just above Wolf creek. It was wonderful!!
When we first got there I wanted pictures with all the kids’ then grandma got in the middle of them all and they gathered around her.

After everything was put away Kim and I took 6 of the kids down to the pool. They spend 2 hours laughing and playing they would have stayed there all night if we would have let them. I feel so bad for Brysen he broke his arm at a horrible time.. He has been to so many swimming get together this past month and he has not be able to participate =(

We had yummy pizza for dinner then played Pictionary. It was a lot of fun we had two awesome groups . We played hide and seek then the kids made beds and watched a movie. Then the adults went out of the patio and talked until about 1am.

What a great group of kids!! They had so much fun and I think it is something that they will remember all their lives

Yard work, Broken Elbow and starting school

It has been a crazy couple of weeks. This last weekend we headed over to my mother-in-laws house to work on her yard. We pulled weeds, cut back trees, cut grass from around some trees then put down some wood chips we worked for several hours (about 7) we were able to get a lot accomplished. That night Donna made us a great dinner to shows us her thanks. It was so nice to be waited on for the night.

Monday started like every other Monday the kids and I went to my moms for a little while. Then did some running around came home the kids went outside to play. They were outside for awhile when Brysen came in crying/ yelling he broke his arm. I was able to calm him down and found out that he was going after a basketball and fell on his arm. We were not able to get him into the Dr for about 3 hours. At Wee Care they took X-rays and I could see that his elbow was broke, the technician said yes but technically I can’t say that.

The Dr. said that it was a bad enough brake that she could not do anything with it and sent us down to Primary Children’s Hospital.

I have been sent down the hospital enough that I know not to go there with out something to do since we live 3 miles from the hospital we were at I decided to go home and grab a bag of actives for Brysen to do, he had cars, a white board with his markers, his DS game. I had Brysen change his pants so he would be more comfortable. I grabbed all my cords for my cell phone and my Galaxy (like a kindle) just in case this turned into surgery and we ended up there longer then a couple of hours.

When we were at Wee Care the Dr told Brysen that he could not eat or drink anything just in case they ended up having to have surgery. After we left Wee care Brysen could do nothing but talk about food. I think he thought he would never be able to eat again. It was kind of funny. At one point Brysen asked will I be able to have breakfast tomorrow? I told him that as soon as he had the go ahead we would get him something to eat.

At primary children’s we were able to get right in. They looked at the X-rays and after 2 ½ hours (which is not long at all in the ER) they came in and told me that he has a Humeral Supracondylar fracture it is a type 2 fracture that is displaced with intact posterior cortex. So basically we have to go back on Thursday to have them do more X-rays to see if it is healing correctly or if they will need to do surgery to put pins in his elbow.

When we left the hospital with a soft cast and I took Brysen right to McDonalds and fed him. Brysen did such a great job at the hospital even when they had to reset a soft cast and bent his arm. I hope that on Thursday we will be able to put him in a full cast with no surgery.

We arrived back home at about 1am at 3am I heard Brysen out on the couch he just could not get comfortable. He finally was able to go to sleep .. my poor little man

Tuesday Morning was the 1st day of school.

Dalton and Brysen were up by 7am getting ready for school at 8:00 I took them to school to get some pictures and to meet their teachers. They all seem so nice. Dalton has two teachers this year Mrs. Flitton and Mrs. Davis.
Brysen’s teacher is Mrs. Danner.

Timmy turned 1!!! How time flies he is such a cutie. He is such a little spit fire Timm and Kristina will definitely have their hands full with this one. He loves to do sneak around you and get into everything that you don't want him to get into. He loves playing with the dogs water and their food. Timmy is already such a tease. He loves to tease his sister and in a month he will have another little to tease.

(December 6, 1927 - July 17, 2011)

Dorthey Maxfield Anderson, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2011 of natural causes at the Davis Hospital.
She was born December 6, 1927 to Everett and Afton Maxfield.
Dorthey grew up in Lyman, Wyoming where she met the love of her life, Joseph W. Anderson, in the 7th grade. Throughout her school years, she enjoyed all types of school sports as well as being voted Prom Queen. She married Joseph Anderson in June, 1946 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
She dedicated her life to her husband and family.
Dorthey is survived by her husband Joe, nine children, Sharon (Bruce) Foust, Debra Scott, Patsy Jo (Jerry) Coon, Marty (Georgia) Anderson, Cindy (Kenneth) Anderson, Bonnie Anderson, Jody (Cynthia) Anderson, Doug (Sandra) Anderson, and Kristie (Steve) Silvester. She found joy and happiness in her family, 40 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Mom was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan and Judy, and one son, Ernest. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and granddaughter, Dawn.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Farmington Bay Dialysis Center. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice doctors and nurses at Davis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 21st at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 1st Ward Chapel, 700 South 2500 West.
The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lyman, Wyoming.

Some may think it is odd that I document life as it happens through my thoughts and pictures. From the sadness of a funeral to the joy of new babies and happy birthdays. I take these pictures so I can reflect on the different events that affect my life. I want to remember the good days the hard days and everyday in between. I am so grateful that we have the technology so I can look back on these days and reflect on the moments and all the memories.

My grandmother passing, may she rest in peace, is both a good and sad day. She lived a full and rich life with a wonderful husband, nine children and lots of grandchildren, who were all so very special to her in their own way. I know I will see her again one day, but now she feels no more pain and can be with the family that has gone before her. With this brings me comfort.

Until we are together again Grandma!

As a family we have been recycling anything metal for about 6 months today's adventure was a new experience for Austin and myself. after picking up our second load for the recycling center (the 1st trip was a washer and a refrigerator) we headed back to Clearfield from Roy. Austin and I noticed black smoke towards Clearfield and sure enough the recycling center is on fire!! So now we have a truck and trailer filled with old filing cabinets, chairs and other assorted metal I hope they open tomorrow we have another full day of picking up metal to recycle.

Fathers Day & Birthday BBQ

Since my Dads birthday is on June 22 my mom decided that we should have a BBQ on Monday to celebrate Father’s day and his birthday. We had such a great time!! We all brought our own meat and a side dish.
Russell makes all sorts of things with duck tape he brought about 10 swords some sort of mangled hand things and a shield. The kids played for hours with the swords it was so fun to watch them make up games and just play.

London, Jasmine and Chaya played so well together. The girls kept going down the slide or wanted to be pushed on the swings.

Timmy was all over the place he loves the freedom that walking has brought him.

Timmy wanted to play with one of the sword too!

My mom set up our own disc golfing we started in the front yard and ended in the back. On the 2nd hole I threw my disc on the neighbor roof (I did not take a picture) Austin went and grab the ladder and recover it for me Thanks Austin!! It was so fun playing disc golfing it has been years since I have thrown a Frisbee I was grateful that I did not break a window out. Those of us who played had a great time.

Russell also brought his bow and arrows Kim and McKenna decided they would be the target for the arrows (no one came close to hitting them)

At the end of the night I was trying to get the right kid into the car sat but I kept having difficulties..

1st there was Jasmine who is just to big for the seat

Super long post!!

For Christmas my parents gave the family Tuacan tickets to go see The Little Mermaid. For the last 6 months I was not sure what to expect but was super excited to go see the play.
The wait was so worth it!!!

We arrived on Friday June 10 at our campsite at Snow canyon since Timm and Kristina were not able to come we took Jasmine along with us. In the little visitor center at the camp site there was a snake called Jake all weekend Jasmine wanted to go see Jake the snake it was too cute!! Chris would not take her up there he absolutely dislikes snakes

My parents, Donna, Carol, Bruce, Kim, Jaden, McKenna, D.J., Amber, Jordan and Taylor all stayed at a hotel in town white the rest of us stayed at the campsite in snow canyon.

On our way to Tuacan for the Little Mermaid we noticed there was smoke to the west of St. George we looked on ksl and found out that Shivwits Indian Reservation we were praying that no one got hurt.

We all had a great time at the Little Mermaid we took up 2 rows with the 29 of us and that was with 3 little ones on our laps. If you have a chance go to this show it really was amazing!

After the show we took Jordan back to the camp site with us and Amber took Taylor and Brysen to the Hotel I love how they get along so well it is such a joy to me to watch theses cousin play so well together.

Dalton and Jordan stayed up until 2am playing battle ship (Chris, Jasmine and I went to bed a little after midnight) Austin stayed up with Chalayne, Brandon, Bart talking and playing games

Saturday morning we headed back over to Tuacan for there Pancake breakfast and street fair I bought a cute Valentino Inspired Raised Flower Leopard Print Satchel Handbag with orange roses I could not decide if I wanted the pink flowers or orange I went with orange but I really wanted them both!!

After spending several hours walking around we all decided to go to a slash pad in St. George and let the kids play. They played for several hours and had a great time just look at all the pictures!

Saturday night about half of us went back to Tuacan to see Grease it was not my favorite I would not recommend =( .. but we still had a amazing time with some incredible people.

On Sunday everyone else headed home Chris and I stayed one more night (with the kids) we went to the outlet mall and walked around then we took a drive to Gunlock Falls OH MY what a gorgeous place!! When the Gunlock reservoir is full, there are some nice waterfalls, after a short walk/ hike you can play in them and some people jump of the cliffs

After we left the falls we were driving down the road when all of a sudden there were 6 horses and 3 Donkeys in the road! They were not concerned at all just walking in the road they were going the same way we were so we just hung out with them for about 10 mins until they decided to move off the road. They went back to a property with a open gate. It was fun to have some more horse power for a little while

On our way back to the campsite to have dinner we pasted the Indian reservation and saw the damage from Friday’s fire about every ¼ mile there were fireman still digging an looking for hot spots. Firefighters are just awesome THANKS for all you do!

Some signs I don’t normally see

One trail went to The Sand dunes it was like a giant sandbox the kids did not want to leave the Dunes are about ½ mile long and just fun

We also went to Jenny’s Canyon it was ½ mile easy walk Jasmine had no problems walking this trial. Not knowing ahead of time where any of the trails went to it was such a nice surprise when at the end we came to a sculpted slot canyon.

There are so many trails at Snow Canyon we went on 3 of them Sunday night another we went to was the Hidden Pinyon Trail it was a little steeper than we thought so once we were at the top and saw the Rocky slopes and the deep drop off we decided that it was not the best place to take a 2 year old. The boys were a little disappointed because it was a hikers dream.

It was such a great weekend spent with my family. The weather was perfect all the company terrific and beautify scenery. I really am so blessed

Rocky Mountain raceway

On Saturday we went to the rocky mountain raceway to watch the drag racing. It was fun until it started to rain. They kept saying we are in a holding pattern.. Luckily we parked close so we kept sitting in the truck until they would start up again. About a 1 hour before the main race was suppose to start it just starting pouring and did not stop. It put a damper (get it Damp-er) on things but not much we can do =( we had a great time trying to stay warm and watch what races we could.

Thought:: This is the day to ask yourself what you've discovered about yourself and your relationship with the Savior as you've completed this Walk with Christ. This is the perfect time to begin again and to find joy in the knowledge that He is risen! He is our Redeemer. Ponder on those things you have read and thank the Lord for what He has done for you. Because of His sacrifice, you can return to live with Him someday.

It was a dream, or a vision in a dream, as I lay upon my bed in the little town of Columbia, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I seemed to be in the Garden of Gethsemane, a witness of the Savior's agony.

I saw Him as plainly as ever I have seen anyone. Standing behind a tree in the foreground, I beheld Jesus, with Peter, James and John, as they came through a little wicket gate at my right. Leaving the three Apostles there, after telling them to kneel and pray, the Son of God passed over to the other side, where He also knelt and prayed. It was the same prayer with which all Bible readers are familiar: "Oh my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt."
As He prayed the tears streamed down His face, which was toward me. I was so moved at the sight that I also wept, out of pure sympathy. My whole heart went out to Him; I loved Him with all my soul, and longed to be with Him as I longed for nothing else.
Presently He arose and walked to where those Apostles were kneeling-- fast asleep! He shook them gently, awoke them, and in a tone of tender reproach, untinctured by the least show of anger or impatience, asked them plaintively if they could not watch with Him one hour. There He was, with the awful weight of the world's sins upon His shoulders, with the pangs of every man, woman and child shooting through His sensitive soul-- and they could not watch with Him one poor hour!
Returning to His place, He offered up the same prayer as before; then went back and again found them sleeping. Again He awoke them, readmonished them, and once more returned and prayed. Three times this occurred, until I was perfectly familiar with His appearance-- face, form and movements. He was of noble stature and majestic mien-- not at all the weak, effeminate being that some painters have portrayed; but the very God that He was and is, as meek and humble as a little child.

All at once the circumstances seemed to change, the scene remaining just the same. Instead of before, it was after the crucifixion, and the Savior, with the three Apostles, now stood together in a group at my left. They were about to depart and ascend into Heaven. I could endure it no longer. I ran from behind the tree, fell at His feet, clasped Him around the knees, and begged Him to take me with Him.

I shall never forget the kind and gentle manner in which He stooped, raised me up, and embraced me. It was so vivid, so real. I felt the very warmth of His body, as He held me in His arms and said in the tenderest tones: "No, my son, these have finished their work; they can go with me; but you must stay and finish yours." Still I clung to Him. Gazing up into His face-- for He was taller than I-- I besought Him fervently: "Well, promise me that I may come to you at the last." Smiling sweetly, He said, "That will depend entirely upon yourself."

I awoke with a sob in my throat, and it was morning.

Today I will feel joy in the hope of eternal life with my Heavenly Father because of the gift of Jesus Christ.

Today is Easter Sunday. We hope that as you have reflected on the life of the savior during this 7 day walk with christ, that Your testimony has grown and that you have drawn closer to him. The Lord is always near. He knows your name and his arms are always extended towards you. Remember him always and you will feel of his great love for you. Never forget who you are.

Heaven Scent

A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as the Doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. Still groggy from surgery, her husband David held her hand as they braced themselves for the latest news. That afternoon of March 10, 1991,complications had forced Diana, only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency cesarean to deliver the couple's new daughter, Danae Lu Blessing. At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound and nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature.

Still, the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs. 'I don't think she's going to make it', he said, as kindly as he could. "There's only a 10-percent chance she will live through the night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one".

Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Danae would likely face if she survived. She would never walk, she would never talk, she would probably be blind, and she would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and on and on.

"No! No!" was all Diana could say.

She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four. Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away. Through the dark hours of morning as Danae held onto life by the thinnest thread, Diana slipped in and out of sleep, growing more and more determined that their tiny daughter would live, and live to be a healthy, happy young girl. But David, fully awake and listening to additional dire details of their daughter's chances of ever leaving the hospital alive, much less healthy, knew he must confront his wife with the inevitable. David walked, in and said that we needed to talk about making funeral arrangements.

Diana remembers 'I felt so bad for him because he was doing everything, trying to include me in what was going on, but I just wouldn't listen, couldn't listen.' I said, "No, that is not going to happen, no way! I don't care what the doctors say; Danae is not going to die! One day she will be just fine, and she will be coming home with us!"

As if willed to live by Diana's determination, Danae clung to life hour after hour, with the help of every medical machine and marvel her miniature body could endure. But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and Diana. Because Danae's under-developed nervous system was essentially 'raw,' the lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort, so they couldn't even cradle their tiny baby girl against their chests to offer the strength of their love. All they could do, as Danae struggled alone beneath the ultraviolet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God would stay close to their precious little girl.

There was never a moment when Danae suddenly grew stronger. But as the weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight here and an ounce of strength there. At last, when Danae turned two months old, her parents were able to hold her in their arms for the very first time. And two months later-though doctors continued to gently but grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of normal life, were next to zero.

Danae went home from the hospital, just as her mother had predicted. Today, five years later, Danae is a petite but feisty young girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life. She shows no signs, what so ever, of any mental or physical impairment. Simply, she is far from the end of her story.

One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving, Texas, Danae was sitting in her mother's lap in the bleachers of a local ballpark where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing. As always, Danae was chattering non-stop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent. Hugging her arms across her chest, Danae asked, "Do you smell that?"

Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm, Diana replied, "Yes, it smells like rain."

Danae closed her eyes and again asked, "Do you smell that?"

Once again, her mother replied, "Yes, I think we're about to get wet, it smells like rain.”

Still caught in the moment, Danae shook her head, patted her thin shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced, "No, it smells like Him. It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest."

Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Danae then happily hopped down to play with the other children. Before the rains came, her daughter's words confirmed what Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts, all along. During those long days and nights of her first two months of her life, when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, God was holding Danae on His chest and it is His loving scent that she remembers so well.

Today I will look for the hand of the Lord in all things in my life.

Friday: Day of Suffering

At Sunrise, Jesus is officially condemned by Caiaphas and the Jewish
Sanhedrin. He is taken to Pilate who delivers Jesus to be crucified.
He is scourged, made to carry His own cross, had nails driven into His
hands and feet and hung on a cross. Darkness lasts from noon to 3 p.m.
Read: Matthew 27Thought: Have you been thinking all week about Christ and the
sacrifices me made for us? Would you have stayed by His side and
watched and waited or would you have fled? This is a day to reflect on
his suffering and to show your gratitude by making a decision to Stand
as a Witness of Him. Are you willing to trade in the worldly and
worthless things of this life for the treasures only He can provide?

The Pearls
     The cheerful girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five.
Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them: a circle
of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box. "Oh please, Mommy. Can
I have them? Please, Mommy, please!"      Quickly the mother checked
the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading
blue eyes of her little girl's upturned face. "A dollar ninety-five.
That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra
chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them
for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get
another crisp dollar bill from Grandma."

     As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted
out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores
and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick
dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her
another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the
necklace.

     Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown
up. She wore them everywhere-Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed.
The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a
bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck
green.

     Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready
for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read
her a story. One night when he finished the story, he asked Jenny, "Do
you love me?" "Oh yes, Daddy. You know that I love you." "Then give me
your pearls." "Oh, Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess -
the white horse from my collection. The one with the pink tail.
Remember, Daddy? The one you gave me. She's my favorite." "That's
okay, Honey. Daddy loves you. Good night." And he brushed her cheek
with a kiss.

    About a week later, after the story time, Jenny's daddy asked
again, "Do you love me?" "Daddy, you know I love you." "Then give me
your pearls." "Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll.
The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is so beautiful and you
can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper."

"That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you."
And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.
     A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on
her bed with her legs crossed Indian-style. As he came close, He
noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her
cheek. "What is it, Jenny? What's the matter?" Jenny didn't say
anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she
opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver,
she finally said, "Here, Daddy. It's for you."

     With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny's kind daddy reached
out with one hand to take the dime-store necklace, and with the other
hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with
a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny. He had had them all
the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime- store stuff
so he could give her genuine treasure. So like our Heavenly Father.
What is it that we are hanging onto?

Today I will remember the sacrifice of the Savior for me and show my
love for Him by being obedient, by defending the truth, by being
strong and faithful

Day of Atonement

He partakes of the "Last Supper" with his Apostles
and atones for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Read: Matthew 26Thought: Even during Christ’s greatest suffering during Gethsemane,
Heavenly Father was mindful of Him and sent an angel to strengthen
Him. And it was through His suffering that the greatest blessing to
all mankind was achieved. Do we really recognize that the Lord is with
us during our hard times and understand that all things will be for
our good if we trust in Him?

Is Your Hut Burning?
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited
island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he
scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted,
he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to
protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

    But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to
find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.
The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief
and anger.
     "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship
that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did
you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw
your smoke signal," they replied.

    It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we
shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the
midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is
burning to the ground---it just may be a smoke signal that summons the
grace of God.

Today I will have greater trust that the Lord is aware of my problems
and is always near to help me through them if I turn to Him.

Wednesday: Day of Rest

The Black Balloon

On the streets of New York City a balloon salesman knew how to attract a crowd. Before making his first sale, he took a white balloon, filled it with helium gas and it floated into the air on the string. Next, he inflated a red balloon and then a yellow one. As children gathered around to buy his wares, a little black boy looked up at the balloons and eventually asked, "Mister, if you filled a black balloon, would it go up, too?" The man bent down and looked the boy in the eyes and said, "Of course. It's not the color of the balloon, it's what's inside that makes it rise."

Today I will let my light shine and let others come to know Christ through my actions
Day 4 Wednesday: Day of Rest

On this day, all that is recorded in the scriptures is that Jesus spent the day outside the city of Jerusalem in seclusion. Jesus probably spends a day of rest with his friends at Bethany.

Thought: The Lord had friends who provided comfort for Him. He asks that we do the same for others. Do we reach out with the hand of friendship to those who need comfort, in need of "rest"?

Thought: We all have things we need to cleanse from our lives each day. This is why our loving Heavenly Father provided us with the opportunity to repent. Are there things that you need to “cast out” of your “temple”?

The Card Files

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no features except for the one wall covered by small index card files. These files stretched from floor to ceiling and went endlessly in both directions. As I drew new the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read, "Boys I Have Liked" I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names on each one. I then realized where I was. This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalogue system of my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in every detail. A sense of wonder and curiosity mixed with horror stirred within me as I began opening files and looking at their contents. Some brought joy and sweet memories, others a sense of shame

and regret so intense that I looked over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named, "Friends" was next to the one marked, "Friends I Have Betrayed". The titles ranged from the mundane to the weird. "Books I Have Read", "Lies I have told", "Comfort I have given", "Jokes I have laughed At", "People I have hurt". Some were almost funny in their exactness.

"Things I Have Done in Anger", "Things I have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents". Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes, fewer than I had hoped. I was overwhelmed by the volume of life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my young life to write each of these thousands or millions of cards? But each card

confirmed this truth, each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked, "Songs I Have Listened To", I realized the files grew to contain the contents. The cards were packed tightly, yet after two or three yards I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much of the quality music, but more by the amount of time I knew it represented. When I came to a file marked, "Lustful Thoughts", I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out inch by inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card.

I shuddered at the details. I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. A rage broke through me. "No one must see these cards. Not one must ever see this room. I have to destroy them." In a frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. I took it out and pounded it on the floor. Not a single card would come out. I desperately pulled out a card and tried to rip it, but it was as strong as steel.

Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a sigh, then I saw it. The title, "People I Have Shared the Gospel With". The handles were brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to cry. Sobbing so deep it hurt my stomach. I fell on my knees and cried out in shame. The rows of shelves whirled around me. No one must ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please, not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus! I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. In the moments that I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw sorrow deeper than my own. He seemed to go to the worst boxes.

Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me with pity in His eyes.

But this wasn't a pity that angered me. I dropped my head and began to cry again. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me. Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, he took out a card and one by one He began to sign His name over mine.

"NO!" I shouted, rushing at Him. All I could find to say was, "NO, NO", as I pulled the card form Him. His name shouldn't be on those cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name JESUS covered mine. It was written with His blood.

He gently took the cards back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign all the cards. I do not think I will ever understand how he did it so quickly. But the next instance it seemed, I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side. He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished".

“He was wounded and crushed because of our sins; by taking our punishment, He made us completely well”. — Isaiah 53:5

I stood up and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on the door. There are still cards to be written.

Today I will choose one thing that I need to cleanse from my life and sincerely repent and strive to do better.

Sunday: Day of Recognition
Jesus Christ rides throught the city at Jerusalem and is greeted by followers waving palm fronds as a welcome to their King. He visits the temple.

Read Matthew 21:6-11

Thought: Would we be one of those who cheered as Christ rode into the city or would we ask, "who is this?" How well do you know the Savior?

What it Means to Know Christ
A man passed away and was resurrected and waiting in a room to be interviewed. Another man was ahead of him. The door opened, the man entered, the door closed. The interviewer began: I want you to tell me what you know about Jesus Christ.

Well, He was born of a virgin in Bethlehem; He lived thirty three years, spending the last three in His ministry, organixing His church, choosing His apostles to direct it, giving the gospel to direct our lives.

The interviewer stopped him and said: Yes, yes, that's all true, but I want you to tell me what you know about Jesus Christ.

Well, he was tortured and crucified that we might have eternal life. Three days later He was resurrected taht we might return to our Heavenly Father.

Yes, Yes that is true, but I want you to tell me what you know about Jesus Christ.

The man, a little perplexed, again began; Well, He restored the gospel in its fulness to the earth through Joseph Smith, reorganixed His church, gave us temples wherin we might do work to save our dead. he agave us family prayer and family home evening where we might unite with our families. He gave us the Priesthood to heal the sick and personal ordinances for our slavation and exaltation.

The interviewer again stopped him and said; All of what you have said to me is true. The man was then invited to leave the room. After he left the door opened and the second man entered. As he approached the interviewer he fell upon his knees and cried, "My Lord, My God."

Sunday Day of Recognition Intention
Today I will think of Christ more often and make my prayers more meaningful so that I may come to know Him better.

JAMES "BILL" WILLIAM CARLYLE

Chris's grandpa James William Carlyle died a year ago today. He was 95 years old. The last several years of his life he suffered from Dementia it was really hard to see him with this dieses. Bill was such a fun loving man I loved how his eyes would twinkle when he would smile or when he would tease one of the grand kids. They did not get to spend as much time with him but what they did spend with him they loved it.
Bill loved to tell all sorts of stories about the war he was in or his welding jobs he could just talk to someone for hours. He has been missed.

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be.

So He wrapped his arms around you,

and whispered, "come to me."

You didn't deserve what you went through,

So He gave you rest.

God's garden must be beautiful,

He only takes the best

And when I saw you sleeping,

So peaceful and free from pain

I could not wish you back

To suffer that again.

JAMES "BILL" WILLIAM CARLYLE Age 95, resident of Riverside, CA for 37 years, passed away 03/23/2010, at Riverside Community Hospital. Bill was born in Alma, Arkansas. He retired as a self-employed welder, working at River Ranch, AO Smith. He served in the U.S. Army as a Technician 4th Grad, 422D Infantry Regiment. Bill is survived by his daughters, Donna Lincecum of Riverside and Janet Hanson of Las Vegas, NV; 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Carol, Billy and Eddie; great-grandchildren, Kristina, Austin, Dalton and Brysen; great-great-granddaughter, Jasmine Lynn. He is now with the love of his life his wife Leta Carlye may he rest in peace.

Today, in just a few hours you will turn seventeen. My breath catches in my throat and my eyes tear up a little as I type that. Because I cannot believe that you are actually seventeen years old.

Seventeen years ago today you came busting into this world I had a hard time believing that I could love someone I have not seen yet. But from the first kick, I suddenly understood the true meaning of bonding. And every day as you grew bigger and stronger, I anxiously awaited your arrival.

I was also scared. What kind of mother would I be? How in the world would I change so many diapers? Would I easily be able to breastfeed? If not, would you starve?

I am amazed, perplexed, astounded when I think about that day. The day I met you, held you in my arms. I feel as if I have bitten into a lemon, halved and dipped in sugar. When I acknowledge how many circles those minute hands have traveled since the early days. My life was altered that afternoon of March 19th. In the birthing experience, there was an imperceptible shift in my core, my soul, my breath. Life was not ever to appear stationary again. There was no grabbing the clock’s hands and halting them. The button was hit and life began to fast forward.

4th grade program

Dalton had his 4th grade program on Thursday. He has been working so hard on all his projects that he had to do to display in his school room and learning all the songs. In fact about a month ago he asked if I could print off the words to his songs so he could practice them at home.
While at the school Dalton was playing loving that we were about to see his play.
He played an amazing railroad worker and sign holder.

Dalton’s Utah County’s float, his brochure, they each made a state flower Sego Lily, along with a seagull catching crickets. One of the songs they sang was called Looking Back and it just made me smile. The chorus said

“We’ve come a long way since yesterday And tomorrow we will see

A bright new day that’s filled with hope and opportunity.”

As I was looking at these 10 year olds and thinking about all that has happened in their short lives and all the opportunity they have.

I Love Love watching my children grown and learn they aspire me everyday. Until you are a parent you just can’t understand how you love this person more and more everyday of their life.

Brysen and Jasmines Birthday Party

Grandma Donna is so cute I LOVE having her here with us. She made Brysen a hamburger cake and is so made that I keep posting pictures of it, I think it turned out so cute I do not have the knack for designing cakes as you will see in the next pictures. My idea of a decorated cake is adding sprinkles.

Brysen did frost and decorate the cake I made him I still can't believe my youngest is 9!!!

I asked Brysen this year if he wanted a Family/ Friend party and he said that he just wanted a family party with everyone
in the middle of February Kristina called me and asked if she could have Jasmine's 2nd birthday at our house I said of course. I asked what day she wanted to have the party and she wanted it on the 26th of February.
about an hour later it hit me that if we have Jasmines birthday on the 26th then we will have 3 birthday parties and a farewell in 3 weeks. I called Brysen and asked if he would mind sharing his birthday party with his niece. He is such a great kid without missing a beat he said yea!! (like mom why would you even ask) I called Kristina back and asked if that was okay to share a party it was so we changed the date to March 5th

One of my worst fears is that no one will show up for my Childs birthday party (it has happened we had 1 person show up) it was just one of those weeks and he was devastated (which is why I now ask if they want a family/friend or just a family party) But this year I could have wept with JOY! Everyone (minus five but 2 are on their missions so I guess that gives them an excuse )was in my little house I ran out of food (no one starved) all the cousins played and laughed. Aunt Debra brought her three granddaughters and Chalayne and Harvey brought his niece Justice (I♥ that name)

Brysen loved all his gifts from everyone he could not wait to open everything up and play.

Jasmine was so excited to open up her gifts it did not take her long to go through all her gifts and want to open up more.

We are having a family party for Jasmine and Brysen on March 5th But last weekend on Jasmines 2nd birthday Carol took us all out to McDonalds so all the kids could play. It was fun to watch the kids play. We took up one whole section at McDonalds. They were really nice and let us put the ice cream in the freezer and then gave Brysen just a cone (he wanted the ice cream we bought in a cone)
Jasmine loved the grocery cart filled with grocery boxes, and a shirts that Donna and Carol bought her. Chris and I got her the cutest outfit (that we did not take a picture of) it is a spring shirt, shorts two hair ties and a pair of shoes. (It may have been a really good thing I did not have a girl)

Grandma Anderson

On Monday February 7, 2011 while my grandma was at her dialysis appointment (6am) her heart stopped. Grandpa said that her eyes had rolled back in her head she was so pale. Grandpa knew something was wrong. He started to yell at the nurses but they were already on there way to help her. They were able to get her stable enough for an ambulance ride to the hospital. As soon as the Dr was able to examine her they took her into surgery by 9am she had a brand new pace maker.

This Gorgeous picture of Grandma Anderson (with no tongue sticking out) is her 4 days after surgery. Grandpa said that her coloring is getting better every day.
I am so glad that I still have my Grandparents what a blessing they all have been in my life.

Every Friday morning I drive by the place that she gets her dialysis done. I am going to make it a point to stop by and say hi give them a kiss and a hug.

Pinewood Derby!!

My sons made their own cars like it should be. Grandpa Foust helped with the wheels and the weight but everything else Dalton and Brysen designed they were awesome Pinewood Derby cars, but unfortunately it was not one of the fastest cars. They each won a couple heaps so that made their day.

One of the cool things about this derby was it was the actual wooden race track from the movie Down and Derby everything Is computerized so there is no guessing the winners.

It was lots of fun for the boys they always enjoy making and racing their cars
I was told that we will get them Next Year!!

It has been three year since the death of my father-in-law. Time really does help everyone but it is also sad. My boys don’t remember another grandparent. I know they will meet him again but I think just like their other grandparents there was so much we were able to learn from him.Chris Jr loved every minute of life he lived by his philosophy was Humor in all thing he lived up to his philosphy.

Chris Jr has been missed his smile, his sense of humor the advise that only dads can give to their sons but we know we will see him again. So until we meet again

Keeping Christ in Christmas!

This year I did something that I have never done in the past. My kids thought it would be fun to set their alarm for 5am. I have a rule that you can set your alarm for 6am and if you wake up by yourself before that then we will get up
Well at 5 I heard an alarm go off so when Dalton and Brysen woke up Austin to call us to get up I told them to go back to bed and call me at 6:00 ( I know I am mean but it was going to be a long day and I was so tired)

Everyone was up and in the living room by 6:15 I had cinnamon rolls in the oven and monkey bread ready for the oven. The kids jumped in and started opening up their gifts

When the cinnamon rolls were done we all went into the kitchen and used a cinnamon roll has a cake we put in a candle and sang happy birthday to Jesus

Then we went back in and opened the rest of the gifts… I am a little upset because my camera was not cooperating so a lot of the pictures did not come out.

Chris received donkey Kong for the Wii I kept telling him I did not get it for him. Because I did not until Christmas eve.. He was so stoked

We have Christmas breakfast every year now it is not so much breakfast as it is brunch. A little after 11:00 we sat down and said the prayer we started to get in the buffet line when Patty (the woman that lives with my mom and dad) came in and yelled at Brandon to come here quick Brandon ran in to the other room then came back and yelled for my dad to come here.

This year my dad invited his cousin who lives in west valley alone to come up and enjoy breakfast with us. When she was walking down the stairs she slipped and fell and broke her ankle (her foot was not at a normal angle) Brandon called 911 before we knew it we had 4 firemen in the house (can I just say YUM!) They were able to get her foot stabilized and they took her off in the ambulance.

It put a damper on the excitement of the day but it was still Christmas so we rebounded.

After breakfast we went upstairs and my mom sat all the grandkids down and told them that they only got them something small because we will be having Christmas in June. My parents bought 31 tickets to Tuacahn We will be seeing The Little Mermaid. The second night we all decided to purchased tickets to Grease. I think we are all going to stay in the St George for 3 days on the last day we will go hiking and see some of the land. We are so excited it will be so much fun!!

When everyone was starting to head home Brandon received a call from Chalayne saying that Troy (Kim’s ex husband) was just in an accident and one of the girls was taken away by an ambulance. Brandon is now freaking out and calls Kim who had to go to work trying to find out what is going on and what girl was injured.

We headed home told Brandon to keep us updated and let us know what was going on He called several hours later told us that Skye was holding a glass jar and when the other car hit them she hit the glass jar with her glasses and her forehead she has two goose eggs above both eyes but they sent her home later that afternoon.
Update: Dad’s cousin was able to get stabilized at the hospital then my grandma picked her up and took her to St marks in Salt Lake she needed surgery on her ankle. She ended up breaking three bones two in her ankle and her shin bone..

Christmas eve

Christmas eve we made dinner and had the family over. Since grandma Donna and Aunt Carol have not had the joy of waking up Christmas morning with the excitement of kids for so many years we invited them to spend the night with us.
So they packed up their gifts and brought them over to the house.
Kristina and Timm called at about 3pm and said that they went to his grandma’s house on the 23rd and asked if they could still come over for dinner and to help make cookies.. I told her YES I was so excited that my family would be home.
We ate dinner made cookies then decorated them.
Timm, Kristina and the kids opened up their gifts so they could take them home so we had room at our house for our gifts…

Dalton and Brysen had a Christmas program it was very well organized every grade had a part they started with the kindergarteners and ended with the sixth graders. It was fun to watch it all come together

On Monday the 20^th we went to the Energy Solutions Christmas Carole sing along.. it was so much fun they do this every year Admission is FREE for Everyone. The Music was provided live by a, full orchestra — and pianist and composer, Jon Schmidt, performed several times throughout the evening. Just another great time with the family

I did not send out Christmas cards to everyone this year so I thought I would put one of the cards I made with our Christmas letter. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year and remembered our savior!! He has blessed me with so much

I don’t know about you, but I always look forward to receiving Christmas letters. I love this time of year. I love the cooler weather, the shorter days, the decorations and lights, the sounds and smells of Christmas. I love it all. Christmas is carolers, long lines at the check outstand and sleigh rides with Jack Frost nipping at the nose. It is tree trimming, Hot coco and ho ho ho from Santa. It is laughter from little boy’s and girl’s last minute gifts and most important good people like you!!

Timm & Kristina are living in Layton and raising their cute little family Jasmine will be 2 in February and she is so full of life she makes the cutest expressions. She is such a Joy and so Happy. Timmy is 4 months and just learned to roll over but only one way so he can go in a full circle. He is such a doll and when he smiles it just melts your heart.

Austin is a junior at Clearfield High I would have to say that school is not his favorite thing to do he loves the social part of it. Austin is working at Charley’s at the Layton hills mall and loves it. Austin loves being 16 and some of the freedom that comes with having a car but he knows that to play you have to work hard, He is a good 4 inches taller than me and such a great young man.

Dalton is in 4th grade and still loves school. He comes home and get all his school work done so he can go out and play with all his friends. Dalton is also in cub scouts as a Webelo we are working towards getting all his badges and his arrow of light. He is a wonderful brother and has a kind heart.

Brysen is in 3rd grade and absolutely loves it! He loves anything hands on and really enjoys playing at his desk Brysen has his hands into everything he is a ball of energy that races around the rest of the family each day. His energy is unbelievable. Brysen is also in cub scouts as Wolf his teachers are always telling me what a helper Brysen is.

Chris is still working for Ready Money as the store manager. He is attending school working towards his associate degree. He really amazes me with everything he is doing and has accomplished. In July of this year He went to California with Austin and packed up his mother and sister they are now living about 3 miles north of us. It is so nice to have them here.

I am a very busy mother and grandmother. I have been called to work in the scouting program where I enjoy being one of the Webelos leaders. I have been with Unified Police Department for 13 years (formally known as the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s office) and a supervisor for 2 years now.

Christmas could not slip by without wishing a Merry Christmas to those that have filled our lives with so much joy and happiness. Christmas is a time for celebrating the birth of Christ, special friendships, family ties and counting our many blessings. God bless you throughout the coming year.

Elder Braxton Foust has been called to serve in the Texan speaking Fort Worth Texas Mission!!!! He will leave for the MTC on February 23rd. We are so happy for him and look forward to this new adventure!
